I'm very interested to write some programmes for the Psion NetBook,
because I'll need something for... What are the best tools to write
software for the Psion NetBook on the Psion directly and on another
machines for the Psion?

Hi Alexander,

You can best choose between OPL (directly on the machine) or C(+,++) on the
PC.
If you browse internet you'll find much more options!

Hi Alexander,

OPL itself is on your Psion (called Program) but it is just the
basic program editor and the basic OPL manual is on the
PsiWin CD. Neuon (http://www.neuon.com/) do nOPL+, an
excellent shareware editor for OPL with extensions.

If you go to the PsionTeklogix (I think) site you can get the
OPL, JAVA and C++ SDKs. They're B*I*G downloads but each
includes the 5mx emulator for PC. You have to register but
it's free. They're listed as netPad SDKs.

Incidentally, OPL stands for Organiser Programming
Language - it's a bit like BASIC.

Take care,
Phil.
